{Fab Features} School Party theme

School days are coming to a close for summer in a couple of months....which got us to thinking about year end kindergarten graduation and saying goodbye to classmates until september! Here is an adorable School party theme by Just Call Me Martha! So many adorable elements. Had to share. Adoring the milk jugs, chalkboard backdrop and table cloth. I previously featured the chalkboard table runner...and the fabric is available here!

{Cake Love} Mini wedding cakes + DIY

In love with mini cakes! Great for weddings, and for any soiree! These would look adorable with pink rosettes on a little girls dessert table. This is a very simple and fun project that requires few materials.  Use a plain white cake as a canvas for decorations such as these hand-crafted “blooming rosettes.”  Bake up tiny french cakes and place citrus hued paper flowers atop for extra appeal.  Add ornaments to the cakes by wrapping each in a bold orange ribbon. Adorable...almost to cute to eat.

1. Scissors
2. Card stock (a variety of shades is nice)
3. A Pencil
4. Ribbon (for added décor)

1. Lightly trace a spiral pattern on a 5″x5″ piece of card stock
2. Cut out the spiral along its lines

3. Simply roll the spiral from the outside until it forms a rosette and pull away the edges to make the rosette “bloom”
4. Cut out leaves for the rosette using green card stock

{Party Favors} Harry Potter Party - Ollivanders Fine Wands

Our search for the perfect wands for our upcoming Harry Potter party...came up short first. All of the wands for sale at costume shops were huge and made of plastic. We were sure they would last 5 mins if they were lucky. Definately not something the children could keep as a keepsake of the party. So we took it upon ourselves to become fine wand makers ourselves. :) Here is what we came up with...who knew we had a bit of Ollivander within. ;)

{Fab Finds} Color Inpsiration - Turquoise/Aqua

I adore shades of Turquoise. They make me dream of lazy breezy days on an island soaking up the sun. Decorating with Turquoise is so effortless and has a calming effect on all who surround themselves with it. It is beautiful paired of shades of celery green. Great for a coastal beach theme. {DIY} Easter Surprise Eggs + Tutorial

Move over Kinder eggs.....there's a new surprise egg in town! These are adorable to make for the kiddies, they will love them...best part...no wasted money for "just a toy" and a thrown away chocolate shell! Because we all know that is what most kiddies do with kinder. :) You can fill these up with your own fun treats and toys...brilliant.

insert custom tags or even fortune tellers inside!

Fill them up with tiny treats or a combo of treats and toys.

either option cupcake liner or sticker works...but I love the stickers...you can do custom ones.

Ready for giving.

Instructions:

1. Start off blowing, cleaning, and dying your eggs in typical easter fashion.
2. Make sure that all eggs have fully dried.
3. Seal the eggs using craft glue (or glue gun works). Affix clipped cupcake liners (these would look super with custom cupcake liners or printed finds at your local craft store. I really love the idea of making your own custom stickers to cover the openings.
4. Tuck in a little printed "message". you can glue them in on one side if you prefer.
5. And now one can open the egg by either cracking it, or just tearing off the paper base. Cracking it is way more fun though!!
6. These would also be fun for adults. Keep to a simple 2 to 3 colors only. The fortune tellers work well inside and some pretty foil chocolate eggs and treats etc.
