{Featured Parties} Little Miss Homemaker Party

We were super excited when Donna of Party wishes contacted us to use our "Jane Baker" Collection. We could not wait to see it come to life. Donna created this adorable 1950's "Little Miss Homemaker" party for her daughter Sheridan's 11th birthday! It was a natural choice as she requested to bake and sew with a few of her close friends. :) We love all of the little details of this party. Donna matched up the colors beautifully with our collection. Read on for more details and images!

WOW...can you believe this was Donna's first attempt at a ruffle cake! Great job and the color is just gorgeous...check out the beautiful DIY cake bunting! Love it! Donna based her party around our Retro Jane Baker Collection, invitation pictured above (available here)...we created a custom banner to match along with party circles. Love the cupcake liner and coffee filter garlands, DIY party hats and milk bottles!

Guests signed a keepsake scrapbook page which included Sheridan's invitation. Donna does this each year for her daughter's birthday's...what a great tradition! Donna created custom aprons adorned with each child's name (tutorial here). The girls received little sewing kits (love how our party circles were carried throughout the party) and the girls made DIY rosette headbands...how cool is that?...what a great activity!

Next the girls MADE LIKE "Jane Baker" and created mini pies...don't they look delicious?!

{As seen on} Amy Atlas Guest dessert feature "Giving Thanks"!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We hope you have a beautiful day with your family. :) We are so thankful for all of you...it means so very much to have you following along.

We got to celebrate Thanksgiving early...and this is how we celebrated. :)

Beyond thrilled to have been featured again on the amazing Amy Atlas Events website "sweet designs" with our "Giving Thanks" table. A big thank you to Amy and Lisa!

In Amy's words:

This party made us want to run outside and frolic in the Central Park leaves. It is very approachable and perfect for Halloween, Thanksgiving or fall. We received this submission from Catherine at Serendipity Soiree. Catherine created this fall celebration for her family. She used burlap to cover the table and risers which added to the rustic feel, along with the natural wooded setting of their yard. Sweet treats included homemade chocolate fudge cake, apple pie, baked cake donuts, tiramisu cake pops and owl, cat and leaf sugar cookies. To wash down all of the sweets, apple cider from a local farm was served in county fair mason jars. Great Job.

{Parties} Eloise at the Plaza - Part 3 - The Spa, Party Fun & Emergency Hotel Kits

"The Package Room has all these packages in it and sometimes I have to help them lift those heavy boxes and look for small packages that might be for me ELOISE!"..."and Kleenex makes a very good hat!" LOL! Here are the remaining images of our Eloise at the Plaza Party...the girls day at the spa & packages that Eloise dearly loves like the Emergency hotel kits from the 1950's...my inspiration for one of the party favors. For Part 1 of our Eloise at the Plaza Party click here!  For Part 2 click here! The guests hideout for the party adapted from "the lost and found" that Eloise likes to dress up in. This is where guests had a spa day where we let them do their "own" facials and manicures and even their own pink hair streaks...a la Eloise style! They played classic games like "snapping Skipperdee" (like hot potato...and they won their very own Skipperdee), pass the parcel (you know how Eloise loves parcels! Where they won custom Eloise Pillow cases, and Eloise at the plaza movies!) & they had a viewing of the Eloise at the Plaza Movie.

The Spa table included Strawberry Facial Masks, Manicure creams, nail polish, nail art stickers, tattoos, hair glitter and hair streaks, Eloise inspired towels, puffs and tiaras for dress up. Their Emergency Hotel kits (included boas, sunglasses, tattoos, nail polish, lipgloss smackers in pink and strawberry of course, and Do Not Disturb Eye Masks!), and their own purses with custom name tags filled with candy makeup. :)

{Parties} Eloise at the Plaza! Part 2 - Hotel Room Bedscape and Room Service!

Ooooooooo I absolutely love room service! They always know it's me and they say "Yes, Eloise?" And I always say "Hello, this is me ELOISE and would you kindly send one roast-beef bone, one raisin and seven spoons to the top floor and charge it please Thank you very much" :) You have to love Room service! Welcome to Part 2 of our Eloise at the Plaza Party! We transformed the dining area into a bed with an Eloise headboard from the book. The table was fitted out with bedding (pink of course) and a Room Service table at the foot.

Each guest had their very own place card/cupcake and stand.

Each place setting had a room service card so “hotel guests” could choose what they wanted, including croissants, mini waffles with sprinkles and whipped cream, chocolate covered strawberries, mini cinnamon rools, Strawberry milk and a buffet of cereal with pink marshmallows..
